Mad Libs Reading Challenge

Did you know we host a reading challenge? It's really fun, if we do say so ourselves!

At the end of 2016, we were brainstorming about what kind of reading challenge we could do that was a little different, and Tara came up with the awesome idea of creating a Mad Lib where the words used to fill in the Mad Lib story would be book titles, so we ran with it! The 2017 challenge was a great success and our listeners came up with some very funny book titles to use in their story, so we're going to have the challenge again in 2018, with a new story!

Here are the new parts of speech/categories:

  1. Adjective
  2. Exclamation
  3. Person's Name
  4. Verb
  5. Plural Noun
  6. Place Name
  7. Adjective
  8. Any Book Title:
  9. Noun
  10. Verb

Read books with title that fulfill each part of speech/category between January and June. The due date will be the end of 24-hour Eclectic Readathon in June (tentatively June 23rd at 8:00 pm EST). When you've completed reading all 10 books you'll submit your book titles through our Google Form, which will be released later in the year, closer to the Readathon. After the Readathon, we'll release the Mad Lib story with your answers and have a drawing for a prize! Connect with other Eclectic Readers participating on our Litsy page or on this Goodreads thread and use the hashtag #ERMadLibs on any challenge posts! Happy Reading!
