Mad Libs 2017 Reading Challenge
Hello, Eclectic Readers!
Welcome to our new home for the Eclectic Readers Podcast and Book Club! We hope you'll enjoy the content we discuss for not only the book of the month, but all of our bookish talk.
Did you know we are hosting a reading challenge? It's really fun, if we do say so ourselves!
At the end of 2016, we were brainstorming about what kind of reading challenge we could do that was a little different, and Tara came up with the awesome idea of creating a Mad Lib where the words used to fill in the Mad Lib story would be book titles, so we ran with it, and Tara and Jeannette came up with an awesome story!
There are twelve (12) blanks to fill in to complete the reading challenge and the categories are as follows:
- 1. Place Name
- 2. Exclamation
- 3. Creature
- 4. Person's Name
- 5. Singular Noun
- 6. Weapon
- 7. Adjective
- 8. Verb
- 9. Noun/Thing
- 10. Verb
- 11. Place Name
- 12. Body Part
Our listeners that are playing along have come up with some awesome choices for their Mad Libs, and if you'd like to see what others are reading, check out our Goodreads Thread about the challenge or check out our hashtag #ERMadLibs on Litsy.
Once you finish reading all twelve of your choices, we have a Google Form for you to fill out (link listed on the Goodreads thread and on our Litsy posts about the challenge). If you complete the reading challenge before our Read-A-Thon in June you'll be entered into a drawing to win a prize! If you don't finish in time, don't worry, the challenge will run all year, so we'll still send you your completed Mad Lib once you've filled out the form.
So far it's been a lot of fun, and we hope you'll join us!
